Kuleshov Effect
For my video of the Kuleshov Effect, the piece I used to cut to was a clip of my brother smiling. Combined with the content of the video, it is hard to tell what he is smiling at which makes it a rather enjoyable experience. During sports videos, he could be smiling at any one of the players or maybe the pain they're in, if they're in any. Some videos are funny which give it a heartwarming wacky feel. Then there are some videos with pain like the nuclear test which give it a more diabolical twist.

Digital Photomontage
I used the same picture that I used for my non-digital photomontage but just added more to it and made some modifications. I put a picture of a bear and of a man falling both representing obstacles in life. Obviously, life isn't going so well if you are falling and the last thing someone wants to encounter is a bear. Carmelo Anthony is in color while the rest of the cruel dark world is in black and white. Basically what I wanted it to portray was that you can overcome anything that comes your way with some effort and plenty of hard work. Thats why Anthony is in color. He doesn't let the black and white take him over.

Photo Montage
When I look at this image, the first thing that comes to mind is survival of the fittest. Although the world can be kind soothing and gentle, which is being represented by the main background of the hotel, the world is a wilderness. This is represented by the forest cut out. To show that life is rough and full of obstacles, I have a cut out of a handgun being pointed at Carmelo Anthony. He represents the overcoming of the obstacle in this wilderness we call life.
